Valve Abandoned the New Penalty System Introduced by ESIC

ESIC has softened the penalty system.

ESIC has become one of the hated organizations in CS: GO lately. The ethics commission made the most controversial decision before PGL Major Antwerp 2022, banning three coaches right before the tournament, which did not give them the right to participate in the event. After that, ESIC decided to soften the punishment system, but Valve ignored the changes.

ESIC changed the penalty system after the appeals of Nicolas guerri Nogueira and Alessandro Apoka Marcucci, who were wealthy, after which the ethics commission lifted the bans from the coaches. However, Valve ignored the ESIC decision, so both mentors are still not eligible to play at Valve events (majors). For example, guerri will only be able to attend the major in the second half of next year.

Thus, Valve has shown that it will not soften the system of punishments for violations in professional games.
