Valve confirms leaks about new RMR cycle

Valve released a "CS:GO Major supplemental rulebook" to unveil the rules of the new RMR cycle.

Not long ago new RMR cycle rules and changes have been leaked, and today Valve officially confirmed rumors of releasing the rulebook.

All leaks were confirmed, except for one addition that wasn’t mentioned in the rumors. Regions are going to be merged, and there will be three regions fighting for spots at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. Regions to be featured on LAN events: Europe, America, Asia. However, if events are conducted online, there will be 5 regions: Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania. In both cases, European and CIS teams will be playing at one tournament.

The spots for Major were fully confirmed. Europe has 7 Legends, 6 Challengers, and 3 Contenders spots, America gets 1 Legend, 2 Challengers, and 3 Contenders spots, while Asia acquires 2 last Contenders spots. The spots at the next Major depended on the results of PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 begins on May 9th.
