Why do you need prime status in CS:GO?

Acquiring prime status in CS:GO allows gamers to participate in ranked matchmaking and receive exclusive items and weapon cases. Previously, when the game was paid, you could get prime status after reaching the 21st level of the account. However, after the transition of CS:GO to the free-to-play model, it can only be purchased in the in-game store or on Steam.

On April 25, the developers added a new collection to CS:GO — Anubis. The case included 19 new weapon skins. Later it became known that fans of the shooter opened more than 1.9 million cases on the first day after the release of the collection. You can read more about it here.
