Valve Keep Selling the IEM Rio Major 2022 CS:GO Capsules

Valve has still not removed the IEM Rio Major 2022 sticker from sale.

IEM Rio Major 2022 Team Sticker Capsules are still for sale in CS:GO. Capsules have been in the game for 121 days. The record for selling teams' stickers in the game is 129 days. It was RMR 2020 capsules.

Why are the stickers still in the game?

The situation with such a long period of Major's capsules being on sale is unprecedented. The trend towards increasing the time on sale began during the PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Before this tournament, stickers were removed within a few days after the end of the Major.

Stockholm Major stickers were sold for about three months. The same was with the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 stickers. However, IEM Rio Major 2022 broke the records of all Majors.

So, why are stickers still sold? There are two versions. The first is that Valve switched to a new cycle of selling stickers but didn't tell the community about it. The second version is simply the sloppiness of the developers who forgot to remove the capsules from a sale. Most likely, the stickers will disappear from the game soon, but will they beat the RMR 2020 record?

Is it worth investing in IEM Rio Major stickers?

An unequivocal answer to this question can be given - no. There are two reasons for this.

The first reason is that the community didn't like the stickers' appearance. Players don't enjoy the frames on the team stickers, and in this case the frame doesn't look very nice either.

The second reason is the sales period should be shorter. The same thing happened with RMR 2020 capsules, which is why now their cost is almost equal to the selling price in the game, although three years have passed since the sale began. Most likely, the same fate awaits the IEM Rio Major stickers.

IEM Rio Major 2022 stickers will be a bad investment.
