EG, ENCE eliminated in Stockholm

First teams out of the tournament.

With the best of three sets being in play, four teams clashed for a chance to stay alive at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 moving forward.

Team Vitality looked to start with a win on Inferno, as they led “10-5” after their defence, but Evil Geniuses nearly shut their offence out of the map, winning the game, “16-13”. Vertigo, however, was all about the French unit, which won thirteen rounds in a row for a “16-5” before closing things out on Dust2, “16-12” to eliminate the North American team from the tournament with a “2-1” victory.

A solid defensive effort by MOUZ gave them a “10-5” lead on Mirage and a chance for their offence to run through ENCE Esports for a “16-6” map win. The Finnish team still took a “10-3” lead on Vertigo, looking to equalize the score and force the decider, but MOUZ won thirteen rounds in a row in a blink of an eye, secured the map, “16-10” and the entire series, “2-0”.

With two teams eliminated, the next day in Stockholm is going to be filled with even more drama and emotions.
