Vitality take down MOUZ in the opening round of group A

IEM Katowice 2022 continues, and the upper semifinals have been set in group A.

Vitality faced MOUZ on their debut at IEM Katowice 2022. MOUZ completed an intense Play-In with one defeat.

MOUZ picked Vertigo and Vitality showed great resistance. Both halves were close, and the result was decided in overtime. There were two overtime series, and MOUZ weren’t able to show confident performance in the second series losing their pick 22-19.

Vitality picked Inferno, and another overtime was coming. Teams were equal in both halves, but MOUZ managed to seize the advantage in overtime, winning the opponent’s pick with a score of 19-17.

Nuke was leftover, and the decider promised to be intense. However, the first half was a disaster for MOUZ. Vitality won 14 rounds on the CT side, destroying their opponents. However, from the first round of the second half, MOUZ started coming back but only managed to make it 16-10, losing the match.

Vitality proceed to the upper bracket semifinal to face Heroic, while MOUZ are preparing to battle OG to survive.
