VP Prodigy stun fnatic Rising in WePlay AL Season 2

One of the unexpected success stories of the first WePlay Academy League season, fnatic Rising, looked to build on that performance, as they clashed with VP Prodigy, who struggled during the inaugural season but still managed to get to the play-in stage.

Starting on Ancient, it was all about CIS team despite it not being their pick, as VP Prodigy won both halves for a combined “16-11”, moving to Overpass. There, however, they were unable to sweep the set, as fnatic Rising’s defence locked down the sites for a seven round lead, which was more than enough to equalize the set at “16-8”. Going to Vertigo for a decider, fnatic Rising started strong but quickly ran out of fuel in the tank, as VP Prodigy secured a “16-7” victory to take the entire series, “2-1”.

WePlay Academy League Season 2 will continue with group A tomorrow, as NAVI Junior, Young Ninjas, BIG Academy and Astralis Talent are going to return to the server.
