A deep look into the new TSM roster

Last month, the American organization TSM returned to CS:GO with a new European roster. During this period, the team played seven matches and had a streak of six wins in a row. The successful results should not be surprising, as it is known that the team had been training together for a long time before the official announcement from TSM.

The team overcame the CCT East Europe Series 2: Closed Qualifier, where they defeated The Witchers, Astralis Talent, and GenOne during the tournament. At the group stage of CCT East Europe Series 2, TSM has already met Falcons, which they defeated with a score of 2:1. At the Thunderpick World Championship Europe Season 2 2023, the team defeated Fake Natty and Astralis Talent and lost to OG in a close match.

So far, the team's best player is sniper Mădălin-Andre "MoDo" Mirea, the only one who had practically no experience even in B-tier tournaments before TSM. On average, the Romanian gets a score of 6.5 and makes 0.73 kills per round. In addition, the sniper rarely dies: only 0.55 deaths per round.

A small disadvantage is MoDo's certain passivity, with only 0.111 first kills per round. However, the lack of aggression from the sniper is compensated by the hyperactivity of Cai "CYPHER" Watson. Over the past month, the Briton's 0.138 first kills per round ranked him twentieth in this indicator. Even more impressive is his 0.162 deaths per round, which only confirms his extreme involvement in the team's first duels.

Before the first TSM matches, it seemed that the juxtaposition of the roles of Audric "JACKZ" Jug  and CYPHER would be a big problem for the roster. However, the experienced Frenchman sacrificed his usual positions and allowed the team to show their best game.

Probably the most successful TSM player is Timofey "interz" Yakushin, for whom this is the first international experience in his career. In the new team, he plays a less supportive role than in Cloud9, where his contribution was not as noticeable as the performances of his more star-studded teammates.

ENCE player Guy "NertZ" Iluz has already positively noted interz's performance in TSM:

"Made me happy to see interz back to the server and playing good again, international fits him more or?"

TSM started very well at the C- and B-tier tournaments. Their first meeting with a top-level team did not end so well, but it is clear that this roster has a huge potential that can grow into something very powerful in the future.
