Another player takes a break from competitive in CS2

Experienced SAW player Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes has announced that he is taking a break from competitive play in Counter-Strike 2. This is the fourth professional player to take a break or retire in the last few weeks.

The 30-year-old MUTiRiS said that he has been getting very tired lately and this has affected his team's performance in official matches. Therefore, the Portuguese organization allowed the veteran to take a short vacation so that he could rest and return to the game with renewed vigour.

MUTiRiS commented on his decision on Twitter:

For a while now I've been feeling quite worn out and that has an impact on the way I help the team. With SAW's support, I've decided to take some time off for myself, to rest, recharge my batteries and come back stronger in the future. So long and thanks for the words of support.

In addition to the Portuguese, one of the best players in the history of CS:GO, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, took a break from competitive play. The Ukrainian needs time to solve problems with his documents. Also, two other players announced their retirement from competitive Counter-Strike: Liam "malta" Schembri and Sun "SLOWLY" Kelun.

Instead of MUTiRiS, SAW will be represented by the young António "aragornN" Barbosa, who recently played for the Portuguese team Los Alpacas.
