Another Polish CS legend has ended their career.

Grzegorz "SZPERO" Dziamelek, a well-known Polish esports athlete, has announced the conclusion of his 15-year career as a Counter-Strike player at the age of 32. His last professional match took place in November against ThunderFlash at Polska Liga Esportowa 2023 Split 4, where he played for the PACT team.

SZPERO began his career during the CS 1.6 era, making his international debut at GameGune in 2011. He had a significant impact in CS:GO, representing several leading Polish teams, including ESC Gaming, Team Kinguin, and AGO.

Some of the highlights of his career were second-place finishes at WESG in 2016 and 2018, which allowed him to earn $234,625 in prize money. He also participated in one CS:GO Major — DreamHack Winter 2014.

In his statement, SZPERO expressed pride in his achievements and mentioned that even though his time as a player has come to an end, he does not plan to leave the esports industry and will focus on other roles within it.
