Ax1Le has received his visa and will play for Cloud9 in the IEM Cologne 2023 playoffs

Cloud9 CS:GO player Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov has received a visa and will soon join the team at IEM Cologne 2023. As such, the team will continue to participate in the tournament without any substitutions. The club's representatives shared this information on social media.

Who replaced Ax1Le?

As Ax1Le had issues obtaining a Schengen visa, Cloud9 came to the championship with a substitute. The team's stand-in was Timur "buster" Tulepov, who is on the bench. With him, Cloud9 took third place in Group A and advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition.

IEM Cologne 2023 Quarterfinals

In the first round of the playoffs, Cloud9 will face Team Vitality. The match is scheduled for August 4, at 16:30 EEST. You can review the detailed pre-match statistics at the link. The winner of this match will move on to the semi-finals, where they will play against ENCE.

IEM Cologne 2023 is taking place from July 26 to August 6 in Germany. Teams are competing for a prize pool of one million dollars and a slot at IEM Katowice 2024. You can follow the championship's schedule and results here.
