br0 will replace blameF in Astralis

Astralis has announced the signing of Alexander "br0" Bro, a former player of the academy team, who will take a place in the main roster of the Danish organisation. This decision was made after Benjamin "blameF" Bremer left the starting lineup due to an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen. At the same time, Nicolai "device" Reedtz will take on the role of game leader (IGL).

Br0, a 21-year-old player, returns to Astralis after a ten-month stint playing for the Astralis Talent academy team. After joining Monte, br0 was able to prove himself by helping the team improve their results and win the title at the ESL Challenger Jönköping.

Kasper Straube, Astralis' sporting director, noted that br0's ability to create space for other teammates was a decisive factor in his signing. He also noted that br0 decided to gain international experience after playing in the academy team.

After blameF's departure from the squad, the role of IGL was taken over by device, who previously acted as second-in-command under Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and blameF. Device has expressed his enthusiasm for the new role and asked Astralis fans for patience, stating his full commitment to the role.

The updated Astralis line-up now looks like this:

  • Nicolai "device" Reedtz
  • Martin "stavn" Lund
  • Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
  • Victor "Staehr" Staehr
  • Alexander "br0" Bro
  • Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
