broky Leads Top Five Snipers at Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023

The first tier-1 LAN championship in Counter-Strike 2, Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, has come to an end, with the North American organization FaZe Clan showing the whole world that they are the best at the moment in the new version of the game. Now it's time to draw individual conclusions, and we'll start with the snipers, who were the most important in this event.

5th place - Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia

ENCE team's sniper Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia has once again made it to the top snipers list, and this tournament was no exception. Despite his team losing their match in the quarterfinals to FaZe Clan, his average rating over eight played maps was 6.0! The Spanish sniper also finished the tournament with an average of 0.231 AWP kills per round.

4th place - Adam "torzsi" Torzsi

The Hungarian sniper from MOUZ, Adam "torzsi" Torzsi, took the honorable fourth place in our ranking. His team only lost two maps in three matches during the group stage but stumbled upon the future champions FaZe Clan in the championship semifinals. Torzsi ended his tournament performance with an average of 0.301 AWP kills per round, which is the third-best indicator of the entire tournament! Also, it's worth mentioning that the sniper's average rating over nine played maps was 6.3.

3rd place - Ilya “m0NESY-” Osipov

The young sniper from G2 Esports, Ilya “m0NESY-” Osipov, is paying off more and more with each tournament, if he hasn't already covered all the organization's expenses on his purchase. But, that's not the most important part. What matters is that G2 made it to the playoffs but lost 2:0 in maps to Complexity in the championship semifinals. Ilya's average rating in the tournament is the highest, at 7.2 over seven played maps! His AWP kills per round rating was 0.34, the third-best in the tournament.

2nd place - Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli

How could we do without the tournament finalist in the person of Norwegian sniper Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli from Complexity Gaming. Throughout the entire tournament, he was the one who kept all other players in fear. And this is despite the fact that his average rating over 15 maps played in the championship was 5.9! Just like his AWP kills per round rating was 0.229, which is the eighth-best in the tournament. The most important thing hallzerk showed is that North American Counter-Strike is evolving, and he is the strongest sniper in that region.

1st place - Helvijs "broky" Saukants

And who else, if not the winner of the Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, could take the top spot in the snipers' ranking? It can't be said that Helvijs "broky" Saukants alone led FaZe Clan to victory in the championship, as all players also got well involved, but they gave him a lot of room to utilize the sniper rifle. The average rating of broky for 17 maps played was 6.7, which is the best result among his teammates! And of course, it's impossible not to highlight his AWP kill rate per round, standing at 0.229. He particularly showed many young snipers how the best sniper should play in a tournament, as in the game against Complexity Gaming, he went berserk and hit something unreal.
