Bubzkji Believes That It Is Time For Valve to Announce the Location of the Second CS:GO Major in 2023

For me it's so weird that we have a major in Q3-4 2023, yet the public doesn't know where it will be held. Like when i plan vacations or trips, i often do it in months advance? Isn't this damaging to the product.

Where can the second Major take place in 2023?

At the end of last year, several sources reported that in addition to BLAST, the company Perfect World also competed for the right to hold Major and won the tender. Such rumors immediately narrow the pool of countries where the event can be held. Perfect World is a Chinese company, and of course, it would like to bring the best teams in the world to its home country.

Even if the Major is not held in China, it can be expected that the event will be moved to Asia since Perfect World has much more influence there. This is a big event because it will be the first CS:GO Major in Asia.

When should we expect an announcement?

This really creates problems for viewers, and tournament operators earn less than they could in the case of an earlier announcement. However, Valve often hides locations, and apparently, they will keep their policy the same.

For example, viewers and fans still do not know the location of The International 2023, which is probably the main event for the company. There are several reasons why the studio keeps the location of its events a secret for a long time. The first main one, probably, is that the company wants to make sure that the site will accept the tournament and only then announce it.

The second reason is that Valve often plays with the community by hiding the locations of events, and this is also the company's content. The studio always wants to surprise its fans, and it often succeeds.
