CadiaN: "Cheats made me a better player"

During a recent interview, Casper "cadiaN" Møller, the leader of the Liquid team in CS2, shared his thoughts on how his past experience with cheats contributed to improving his gaming skills.

"I strongly advise against anyone following this path, however, it would be dishonest to deny that cheats helped me elevate my level as a player," noted cadiaN.

He explained that he initially had a weak understanding of the game, but after he started using cheats, he began to better understand the timings, moments for encounters with opponents, possibilities of moving with a knife, and the consequences of killings.

"This was possible thanks to the ability to see through walls," Møller added.

At the same time, cadiaN expressed his stance against the use of cheats and emphasized that he never resorted to them in his professional career. He also noted that receiving a VAC ban at the age of 12 was a serious lesson for him.

"I am not proud of my actions in the past, but it is part of my journey. I am grateful for the experience that allowed me to become a stronger player."

Community Response

cadiaN's revelations elicited a variety of responses in the CS2 community. Some criticized him for his past use of cheats, while others saw in his words a useful lesson for new players.

"This proves that even those who started with cheats can achieve success," mentioned a Reddit user. "But that does not make cheating acceptable."

cadiaN's story reminds us that mistakes can turn into valuable experience. Cheating is not the key to success in CS2, but it can serve as an important lesson for those aspiring to improve their skills.
