Cloud9 signs Boombl4 on a permanent deal

Cloud9 has announced the signing of a full contract with 1WIN player Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov. He will replace Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov, who decided to bench himself.

Boombl4 has already played for Cloud9 at Thunderpick World Championship 2023. The team defeated fnatic and Virtus.pro and reached the playoffs of the online tournament. However, as it was reported at the time, the player played for the team as a stand-in, an emergency replacement for sh1ro.

Boombl4 played an atypical role of a sniper and did a good job, but it seems that this was not the last replacement in the squad and Cloud9 will soon sign a full-fledged AWPer.

Kirill's arrival marks his reunion with Denis "electroNic" Sharipov and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, with whom he had a very successful period in Natus Vincere. Together, the three of them have won many big events, including PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and Intel Grand Slam Season 3.
