Cloud9 will compete in the grand final of EPL S17 - the team won against ENCE

The first grand finalist of ESL Pro League Season 17 has been determined, as Cloud9 took the upper hand in a bo3 semi-final, defeating ENCE with a score of 2:1. The European team will settle for 3-4th place at the tournament and a prize of $50,000.

ENCE demonstrated great defense on Ancient, winning that map, and in the first half of Overpass, but their attack in the second half was somewhat toothless, which Cloud9 took advantage of. On Vertigo, which became the decider, Cloud9 proved that it has the highest winrate among all maps, so nafany and his teammates predictably closed out their opponents.

As for the best players of the match, it's hard to single out just one among Cloud9's ranks -  sh1ro, Ax1le, and nafany made equally huge contributions to the victory - each of the trio was the best on the maps of the past bo3 in turn.

The grand final of EPL S17 featuring Cloud9 will take place on March 20 at 17:00 in a bo5 format. The opponent of the American club will be the winner of the parallel semi-final between FaZe and NAVI, which is starting right now.
