Coach G2: "We Limited m0NESY Too Much"

G2 Esports mentor Remy XTQZZZ Kvonyam spoke about developing the team's sniper Ilya m0NESY Osipov. In an interview, he also stated that fans criticize Nikola NiKo Kovacs in vain.

I am very proud of Ilya. He is young, and the situation in the world forced him to stay with us, away from his family, and G2 is his first tier-1 team. A lot is expected of him, and he copes with this responsibility. He can be proud of himself and how much he has grown as a person.
M0NESY has already learned a lot about teamwork, so now we want his AWP to impact the game more, especially outside of clutch situations. We want him to start playing more actively and take responsibility - this is how he can learn to show high results in the position of a sniper consistently. It seems to me that we limited him too much before that, and now it's time to give him more freedom.

XTQZZZ considers NiKo's accusations groundless.

I have seen criticism of NiKo, but I can't speak to his past mistakes. But since I joined G2 Esports, all the accusations against him have been groundless and far from how everything really happens in the team. Nikola was not the initiator of changes in the past composition or in the current one. Those decisions were made by management. NiKo is a star player with strong character, ambition, and desire to win, characteristic of such people. Is it easy to train? Not always, like 95% of the players I've worked with.
I have never seen Nikola try to make decisions for the captain or argue with him. And after that, I see how they try to shut him up. Why should he shut up? Why can't he offer something when the team can't find the right solution? Should he be shut up if he wants to help the team? Over the past six months, I have seen how he first goes to the opponents, sacrificing himself for the sake of his teammates. Now I don't let him do that because that kind of player shouldn't be doing that.
