CSPPA Announces 2023 Summer Break Dates
The Counter-Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA) has announced that the official summer 2023 tournament break will take part from June 12 to July 9. This is a little more than a month earlier than in previous years.
The association made this decision after consulting with tournament operators. Thus the calendar year will be divided into two equal seasons. The CSPPA noted that they will be in dialogue with Valve and other stakeholders to ensure that "the dates of the breaks better align with the dates of the CS: GO Majors."
The official summer break has been active since 2017 and allows tier 1 players to rest between the first and second halves of the season without missing out on the best tournaments.
