The British organization GUILD, owned by soccer player David Beckham, plans to sign a men's Counter-Strike squad in the near future. The five players will be accompanied by a full coaching staff.
An additional motivator for the club to expand its presence in Valve's shooter is the upcoming release of CS2.

The organization also stated that they have seen a lot of sponsorship opportunities in Counter-Strike compared to others due to the more liberal policies regarding allowed advertising.
GUILD have a female CS:GO squad, with representatives from Norway, Sweden and Latvia, which the organization signed in March this year. The team competed at the spring ESL Impact League Season 3: Europe, finishing in 7th-8th place. The fourth season of EIL will start in September, and GUILD will also take part in it.
