Device Reignites Passion for CS2 with Captaincy Role in Astralis

Astralis' CS2 squad has seen a significant reshuffle with the exit of Benjamin 'blameF' Bremer, ushering in a new era under the captaincy of Nicolai 'device' Reedtz. The Danish sniper, taking the helm of the team, has expressed a rejuvenated sense of joy and passion for the game, a sentiment he shared with HLTV.org.

With blameF's departure on February 28th, device stepped up to lead, bringing in former Monte player Alexander 'br0' Bro to fill the vacancy. Reflecting on his new responsibility, device divulged his history of being the second caller and aiding in-game leaders throughout his career.

It's very different. It completely turned around, I think. Before, even with the good games we had, it was not always naturally happy. I don't know why. For me, at least, it's way better. People are also connecting really well outside of the game, the four guys are in the same age group and having a lot of fun. It's always nice to see. I'm a little bit the old guy now, but I'm still trying to have some fun as well. And for me, just playing the game and dictating the way we play is very fun. It's also something that has given me the passion and happiness back. It means more now than it did before.

The transition appears to be more than just a change in title; it's brought a wave of positivity and camaraderie within the squad. "People are also connecting really well outside of the game, the four guys are in the same age group and having a lot of fun," he added, highlighting the importance of team chemistry.

Device, now the veteran presence in a group of similar-aged players, still finds himself enjoying the game and its social aspects. "And for me, just playing the game and dicting the way we play is very fun. It's also something that has given me the passion and happiness back."

This newfound energy could be the catalyst Astralis needs as they continue their journey in the competitive CS2 landscape. With device at the steering wheel, Astralis fans might soon witness a return to the form that once made the Danish team the envy of the esports world.
