ENCE did not leave Cloud9 any chance in the quarterfinals of Gamers8 2023

ENCE confidently defeated Cloud9 in the quarterfinals of Gamers8 2023. In the next stage of the playoffs, the European team will play against Heroic. Cloud9 took 5th-8th place at the tournament in Saudi Arabia and received $35,000.

The first map in the match was Ancient, the peak of the Russian team. In the new lineup, Cloud9 played Ancient for the fifth time and had only one loss with a score of 16:19 against fnatic at IEM Cologne 2023. The team quickly took control of the beginning of the map and easily brought the score to 5-0.

However, ENCE adapted to Cloud9's attack and managed to win nine rounds in a row. The second half began with a quadruple kill from Pavle "Maden" Bošković and a clutch win against Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy. This pistol allowed ENCE to seize the initiative and gain nine map points.

Anubis continued the dominance of the Europeans. It was clear that as a team, Cloud9 had nothing to oppose them. ENCE had a variable offense and a clear, structured defense. In addition, the team managed to shut down the opponent's sniper Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, who can usually almost solo take B plat on this map. With the match against Cloud9, ENCE extended their winning streak on Anubis to eight in a row.

Next, ENCE will meet the Danes from Heroic, whom they recently beat at IEM Cologne 2023. The winner of the match will advance to the final of Gamers8 2023 and guarantee a prize pool of $180,000.
