End of era Bad News Bears disband

After five years in the CS:GO arena, the well-known North American team Bad News Bears announced their disbandment. This decision came after the team's unsuccessful performance in ESL Challenger League Season 46, where they were forced to play relegation matches with a 3-11 score. Ultimately, defeats against Reason and Rocket were the last straw, leading to the team's drop to the Advanced division.

The situation with Bad News Bears had been unstable for some time, especially after Aran "Sonic" Groesbeck left the team for Wildcard in November. Additionally, Joshua "Steel" Nissan also departed from the team, focusing on content creation and streaming. As a result, the team had to use substitutes Nick "nicx" Li and Owen "SummY" Mustard.

However, there's some good news: Umar "Umar" Kaiser and nicx plan to use their experience in Bad News Bears to create a new lineup. For now, they are the only members of the new team, but there is hope that they will be able to attract other players, especially considering the potential chance to take a spot in the ESL Challenger League. However, they will need to assemble a strong lineup for future matches, including a game against LAG for a league spot.

Currently, the former lineup of Bad News Bears looks like this:

  • Umar "Umar" Kaiser
  • Nick "nicx" Li
