ESIC lifted the ban on joel due to a lack of "convincing evidence" in fixed matches
ESIC confirmed that joel had placed bets on CS:GO matches this spring, including matches involving his own team. However, the commission found no evidence of involvement in match fixing.

The accused player cooperated with the organization while under ban since September. He denies his alleged involvement in 322, but admits that he struggles with a gambling addiction. Previously, he even begged for skins from acquaintances to later lose them. Now, the esports athlete claims to be seeking treatment for his problem, consulting qualified professionals.
joel's ban expires on January 6, 2024, two days before the start of the open qualifiers for RMR. This means there is a chance to see Holmlund at the first CS2 major, although this probability may not be very high.
