ESL National Championship Uses Spring Global Playoff to Get IEM Spots
On the 27th-30th of May, the eight winners of the tournament bracket will have a face-off, determining the champion.
ESL released more details in regards to the Playoffs of the ESL National Championship. It was stated that this should prove as an opportunity to go higher on the ESL Pro Tour Structure.
The next spring event, specifically the ESL NCGP Spring 2021, will take place online, and the European team will be the only one playing. The ELS plans to make the event much bigger, holding it as a LAN in 2022.
The national championship of the ESL has already offered a way into the ESL Pro Tour, as Sprout earned their spot in the IEM Cologne Play-In. However, the tour organizer also explained they added the ESL NCGP as a means to make everything clearer and more accessible for the team.
