ESL Pro League Season 19 Preview: Focus on Groups C and D
As the excitement builds up in Malta from April 23 to May 12, 2024, the ESL Pro League Season 19 gears up to showcase intense competition with a substantial $750,000 prize pool. Having previously discussed Groups A and B, we now turn our attention to Groups C and D, where teams are ready to battle it out for top honours and a spot in the playoffs.
Group C overview
Group C matches kick off on April 30, 2024, promising a series of clashes among well-prepared teams:
- MOUZ vs. Bad News Kangaroos at 14:30 EEST
- GamerLegion vs. ENCE at 14:30 EEST
- FURIA vs. Liquid at 20:30 EEST
- FORZE vs. Monte at 20:30 EEST
These matchups are set to unfold in a Triple Elimination format, ensuring only the strongest four will advance from the grueling competition.

Group D overview
On the following day, Group D introduces its own set of intriguing encounters:
- Complexity vs. Pera on April 30, 2024, at 17:30 EEST
- HEROIC vs. NIP at the same time
- BIG vs. BOSS on May 1, 2024, at 14:30 EEST
- FlyQuest vs. Natus Vincere also at 14:30 EEST
Similar to Group C, Group D will engage in a Triple Elimination format to determine which four teams will proceed to the next stage.
Playoffs and prize pool
After vigorous competition across all groups, 16 teams will progress to the playoffs, set in a Single Elimination format. The prize distribution is as follows:
- 1st place: $170,000 + a direct invite to IEM Cologne 2024 + 2,000 BLAST Premier Points
- 2nd place: $80,000 + 1,400 BLAST Premier Points
- 3rd-4th place: $45,000 + 750 BLAST Premier Points
- 5th-8th place: $32,000 + 275 BLAST Premier Points
- 9th-12th place: $23,500
- 13th-16th place: $17,500
- 17th-20th place: $12,000
- 21st-28th place: $7,000
- 29th-32nd place: $3,500
