Eternal Fire has benched xfl0ud, who will be temporarily replaced by a player from the academy

Turkish team Eternal Fire has announced changes to its roster, with xfl0ud being benched and replaced for the time being by Wicadia, one of the players from the Eternal Fire Academy.

It was announced that Wicadia will be only a temporary replacement until the team decides on a permanent fifth player.

The reshuffle in Eternal Fire comes after unsatisfactory results in major tournaments (17-20th place in EPL S17) and failure to qualify for the Paris Major.

Fedir KvaN Zakharov speculated in his personal Telegram channel that Eternal Fire has not yet given up on the idea of a mono-national lineup due to possible demands from patriotic sponsors.

Honestly, I don't understand why they are clinging to a mono-national roster. 
In my opinion, there simply aren't enough players in the country to put together a full team. It seems that some sponsor is simply keeping the guys on payroll just so that WE HAVE A TURKISH TEAM IN CS.

If you look at the facts, all capable Turkish players have either already played for Eternal Fire and moved to other teams or simply retired. The only alternative to Wicadia from compatriots could be 18-year-old Soulfly from Sangal.

Interestingly, Sangal also attempted to build a Turkish roster in the past, but in early 2022, they abandoned the idea in favor of an international lineup.

The updated Eternal Fire roster will play their next official game in the group stage of Brazy Party on April 26 against Apeks.
