Extra Salt hints at their return to CS2

The American organization Extra Salt published a post on its Twitter account related to Counter-Strike 2. The publication may mean that Extra Salt is returning to the discipline.

The organization left CS:GO in January 2022, when it sold Ioannis "Johnny" "JT" Theodosiou, Justin "FaNg" Coakley, Ricky "floppy" Cameri, and Tian "T.C." Coertzen to Complexity. Prior to that, the team was left by Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado and Joshua "oSee" Ohm, who later joined Nouns and Liquid, respectively.

During their short period in Counter-Strike, they managed to attend two S-tier tournaments, namely DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 and IEM Summer 2021. The team also won DreamHack Open March 2021: North America and took second place at Funspark ULTI 2020, losing to BIG 2-0 in the BO5 final. The team took eighth place in the RMR table for PGL Major Stockholm 2021. In total, Extra Salt earned $256,500 in prize money.
