FalleN and chelo officially joined FURIA. The sniper alone cost the club $700,000

Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo have completed the roster of FURIA in CS:GO, having been bought out from Imperial. While the former player spent nine months in the previous organization, the legendary sniper FalleN spent a full sixteen.

Together with Imperial, the Brazilian duo did not achieve exceptional results in the most prestigious championships, but notable achievements include first place at BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2023, second place at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022, and 3rd/4th place at BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023.

Gabriel and Marcelo joined FURIA to replace Rafael "saffee" Costa and Andre "drop" Abreu, who moved to MIBR.

FURIA Roster

  • Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
  • Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
  • Yuri "yuurih" Santos
  • Andrei "arT" Piovezan
  • Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
  • Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (coach)

How much did FalleN cost the organization?

According to Dust2.com.br, FURIA bought out FalleN for $700,000, signing him to a two-year contract. It is also noted that the price for the sniper was nearly equivalent to a penalty fee of $750,000. Considering his advanced age for esports (32 years old), FURIA may become the club where Gabriel concludes his esports career.

The price for the other new FURIA player, chelo, is not mentioned.

The updated FURIA lineup will play their first match at IEM Cologne 2023 in the Play-In stage on July 26. The same goes for Imperial, from where FalleN and chelo departed. The team will also compete in Gamer8 and EPL Season 18 in August.
