FaZe knock fnatic down in group B

The upper semifinals of group B at IEM Katowice have come to a close, and the fourth team took the spot in the playoff.

FaZe faced fnatic, who previously destroyed G2 in the opening round of group B.

Fnatic picked Overpass, and it turned out to be a mistake. FaZe dominated the first half, winning ten rounds out of 15. After the sides switched, fnatic couldn’t return to the game losing their pick 16-5.

However, on Inferno, picked by FaZe, fnatic started to shine. They showed decent performance on the CT side and continued to outperform on the T side, winning the map with a score of 16-10.

The decider was Mirage, and it was a disaster for fnatic. FaZe started the third game on the T side and surprisingly won it 9-6. Fnatic tried to come back, but the European mix denied that attempt, finishing the map 16-9.

FaZe advance to the group final to face Natus Vincere, securing the spot in the playoff, while fnatic fall to the lower bracket to encounter Astralis.
