The former captain of the academic roster of Virtus.pro complained about not receiving payment for a year
Player of team BakS, Alexey RuFire Burakov, reported that Virtus.pro has been unable to pay him for almost a year. The esports player was a part of Prodigy, not only serving as captain but also doing scouting work.
RuFire noted that he is not the only one who has not received payment:
Virtus.pro, what about the money? I have been waiting for the prize money that was promised to me for a year, probably. The rest of my teammates also have not been paid.Alexey RuFire Burakov
Later, the CEO of the organization personally assured Burakov that the salary issue will be resolved in the next few days.
Has VP encountered financial problems?
At the beginning of April, the club announced that it was looking for advertising agencies. The CEO of VP stated that the organization had money. The ex-CEO of HellRaisers then explained why publicly looking for agencies is illogical:
- Working with most agencies for clubs is useless. All they do is either bring connections or add your logo to a general presentation and spam everyone in case it catches on. This is not only my experience but also that of many top teams in esports.
- It is a desperate move to write that they are looking for agencies everywhere on social media. It's like looking for club players through your own social networks.
