forZe survive against Sinners, finish second in EPL S14 group B

Closing out the group with a monster match.

forZe have guaranteed themselves a playoff berth last night by sweeping G2 Esports, while Sinners Esports looked competitive in nearly every match but could not win enough maps to stay in contention until the end.

Nuke, however, showcased that Czech team is for real, as “oskar” and his teammates ran over CIS team, despite falling behind “0-4” early, winning first map “16-7”. Moving to Mirage, map where forZe have literally forgot how to lose, Sinners put up a fight once again, coming back from a “10-14” down to force an overtime, where CIS squad survived and forced third map, “19-17”. Back and forth on Ancient, forZe had a narrow “8-7” lead at the half time, but Sinners regained control with a “12-10” lead. In the end, both teams moved into yet another overtime, where forZe won enough rounds by the narrowest of margins, securing a second “19-17” in a row and a “2-1” victory.

This result gave forZe second place in group B, taking over Complexity Gaming at the spot, while Sinners Esports have to be proud of their debut on the grandest of stages.
