FURIA and Astralis got eliminated from IEM Katowice 2024 Play-in

Two more teams have been eliminated from the race for the IEM Katowice 2024 championship title. As a result of today's matches, Astralis and FURIA finished in 13th-16th places.

Both matches were quite interesting in terms of their storylines: Astralis lost to former teammate gla1ve's ENCE, despite significant investments in their lineup. As for FURIA, they have failed to make it to the main stage of IEM Katowice for several years in a row – this time they were stopped by TheMongolz.

Tomorrow, February 2, the final matches of the Play-In will take place, deciding the fate of the last four spots in the next stage. The matchups will be Virtus.pro - Cloud9, TheMongolz - ENCE, BIG - Apeks and Rebels - M80.  

IEM Katowice 2024 will be held from February 3 to 11 in Poland, attracting the world's best teams to compete for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. The tournament winner will not only receive $400,000 but also slots at IEM Cologne 2024 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2024, highlighting the event's significance and prestige.
