Gen.G will return to Counter-Strike with a Chinese roster

Esports club Gen.G has announced its return to the professional Counter-Strike scene. The official statement was published on the social network Weibo.

The organization's representatives announced that the future roster for CS2 will consist of Chinese players. Gen.G continues to actively expand its presence in the Chinese market, having already introduced its teams for Clash Royale, NBA 2K, and Honor of Kings in the region. The club did not reveal details regarding the time when the CS2 team roster will be presented.

From 2019 to 2021, Gen.G owned a CS:GO roster based in North America. During that period, the team included players such as Timothy autimatic Ta and Damien daps Steel. The team achieved victories at DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 and ESL One: Road to Rio for North America, and participated in various other championships.
