hampus: "I felt that there were some players who did not respect my voice on the server"

Former Ninjas in Pyjamas captain Hampus "hampus" Poser shared the details of his departure from the Swedish organization.

He said that the team made a mistake in the way it started the season. Hampus also added that the roles and positions of the players in the team were not properly selected. Using the example of the Overpass map, he explained that there were four players in the roster who wanted to play on the A side and five who usually played on the A side.

However, as the Swede noted, he did not have enough power to customize the game how he saw it. In addition, hampus felt that some players did not respect his importance in the team. This also made it very difficult to manage the team as he noted in the interview to Dust2.se.

I thought we made a mistake in the plan of how we started the season. Also, I felt like I had no power when I came back. I couldn't really do things the way I wanted, so you always had to compromise with the coach or the performance coach and so on. Then I also felt that there were some players who did not respect my voice on the server and then it is very difficult to get good results when people don't listen sometimes.

Ninjas in Pyjamas moved hampus to an inactive roster about a week ago. He spent more than three years in the organization, won several mid-level tournaments and attended three majors. He is to be replaced as the team captain by Spaniard Alejandro "ALEX" Masanet, who will make his debut at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
