HAVU's captain confessed what it's like to play at a big LAN event

Finnish IGL Jussi “Airax” Airaksinen yesterday led his team to a sensational result – making it to the playoffs of Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, overcoming several well-known club lineups. On this occasion, the HAVU captain shared his emotions.

Jussi claims that it's easier for him and his teammates to play on the big stage. This positively affects the team's internal communication, and the experience of some of the team members, who have previously played at prestigious events, plays a big role.

A month ago, we had a bootcamp and we didn’t lose a single map in official games, after that we played practices at home for 2-3 weeks and those were just the worst matches from us. When we play on LAN, communication in the team happens with much more detail.sLowi and ottoNd, who have previously played at a high level, are very confident and always perform better against high-tier teams.

Today, as part of the group stage of Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, four matches in group B will take place. At the end of the game day, we will find out which of the four teams - Apeks, Complexity, FURIA, and MOUZ - will advance to the playoffs, and who will leave the championship, settling for a much smaller share of the $200,000 prize pool.
