HooXi: "jks is not the player G2 needed"

The captain of G2 Esports CS:GO roster, Rasmus HooXi Nielsen, commented on the removal of Justin "jks" Savage from the team's roster. Nielsen discussed the situation in an interview with HLTV.

According to Nielsen, Savage had issues that prevented him from securing a place in the club. He also noted that jks performed well in tournaments, but it wasn't enough.

With Justin, it was like… He was obviously good in big matches and big tournaments, but he had some issues that I’ll not go into further detail about. He had some issues that we had been working on for a long time but that we never really saw much progress in. There were some other qualities we needed on this team. Justin, of course, can add other things to another team that needs his qualities. I still love Justin. I think he’s a great guy. I think he’s a great player as well. He’s just not exactly what this team needed.

jks played for G2 from August 2022. During his time with the team, they achieved victory at BLAST Premier: World Final 2022IEM Katowice 2023, and IEM Cologne 2023, as well as securing prize placements in many other championships. In November 2023, Savage left the club, and Nemanja "nexa" Isaković returned to G2 in his place.
