jkaem was the best player among all regional qualifiers at IEM Sydney 2023

Summarizing the results of the four regional qualifiers for October's IEM Sydney 2023, it is worth focusing on the individual performance of individual players. Sometimes many people bypass the qualifiers except for Europe and sometimes North America. Today we'll look at the best in each of the qualifiers.

jkaem

Norway's Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad topped the list of top regional qualifiers and his Team Apeks qualified for IEM Sydney 2023 on the top grid in the toughest region of the four presented. The riffler's final rating of 6.9 and average damage of 94.28 put him ahead of all qualifiers.

  • hades (9INE) – 6.9
  • s1ren (BB) – 6.7
  • danistzz (BB) – 6.6
  • zorte (BB) – 6.6

ADDICT

New Zealander Christian "ADDICT" Pendleton, 22, of VERTEX Australia, has garnered plenty of attention as the Oceania qualifiers progressed, coming in at a 7.0 rating. It's hard to say for sure yet, but along with malta he will be the main ingredients to earn at least one win at IEM Sydney.

  • nettik (Rooster) – 6.9
  • HaZR (VERTEX) – 6.4
  • pz (VERTEX) – 6.4
  • malta (VERTEX) – 6.4

z4kr

Zhang "z4kr" Sike from Lynn Vision is not known to many CS:GO fans, and if we rely on the statistics of players in the Asian region, he is on average inferior in statistics to almost all players of 5yclone (former Rare Atom). The group stage of IEM Sydney will be a real test for the Chinese player.

  • Jee (Lynn Vision)
  • Kaze (5yclone)
  • Moseyuh (5yclone)
  • JamYoung (5yclone)

Swisher

The M80 organization has only recently entered Counter-Strike, but already now its roster looks promising, at least within the North American region. And although Michael "Swisher" Schmid and his team could not make it to the tournament, the American showed himself well individually with a rating of 6.6.

  • EliGE (Complexity) – 6.5
  • Hallezerk (Complexity) – 6.5
  • JT (Complexity) – 6.4
  • Jba (Forsaken) – 6.3

IEM Sydney 2023 will be held October 16-22 at the Aware Super Theatre in Sydney, Australia. The prize fund of $500,000 will be played by 16 teams. The winner will receive not only $100,000, but also an invitational to IEM Katowice 2024.
