JT became the best clutcher of IEM Sydney 2023, making appereance in the "dream team" of the event

The Southern Hemisphere's premier cybersport event, IEM Sydney 2023, came to an end this Sunday, bringing many highlights for Counter-Strike 2 fans. This time around, we had some slightly unexpected players join our dream nteam, which we're going to talk about today.

Entry Fragger - EliGE

Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski would have had a good chance of trying on the MVP crown at IEM Sydney 2023 if not for losing the third map of the final in overtime. Blame the American for the loss - his impact was on a whole other level, and he was able to be the best player of the final. And he got into our dream team thanks to his entry statistic - 0.154. We are looking forward to future events with Complexity and EliGE.

Sniper - m0NESY

In some ways, G2 sniper Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov had to put in more effort than usual - the Bosnian duo NiKo and huNter- played a mediocre tournament in terms of statistics, which, however, was enough to reach the semifinals. Ilya's 0.340 in AWP kills allowed him to make it into today's top five.

Support - hallzerk

Norwegian Håkon "hallzerk" Fjaerli showed initiative, even fearless AWP play today, but he was on Bo3.gg's dream team for a completely different reason. And it's all about his assists with blinding grenades. His total is 0.050.

Clutcher - JT

Few would have predicted before the tournament that Complexity captain Johnny "JT" Theodosiou would be so good at being a clutcher. He managed to pull out six 1v1 and five 1v2 situations. His closest pursuer has only won seven clutches.

MVP - broky

The aforementioned pursuer, by the way, is Helvijs "broky" Saukants, and we also have to disagree with the ESL's MVP verdict, according to which Robin "ropz" Kool was chosen as the best player of the event. No matter how you look at it, broky not only played the best in his team in the finals, but also his rating for the whole championship is higher. Nevertheless, we recognize that the Estonian also had a bunch of spectacular moments.
