Karrigan Unfazed by Age: Sets Sights on Continued Success with FaZe Clan

Finn Karrigan Andersen, the veteran Danish Counter-Strike 2 leader, has declared that retirement isn't in his plans anytime soon. Celebrating his 34th birthday with FaZe Clan's first title of 2024 after a convincing 2-0 victory over MOUZ at the packed Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre, karrigan's focus remains on creating a legacy with the team he rejoined in 2021. The player told the HLTV portal.

Since his return, he's navigated FaZe to eight major LAN wins, including the coveted 2022 Antwerp Major. Despite his lengthy career that spans back to CS 1.6, karrigan feels he's still improving and doesn't see an endpoint just yet.

I want to make history with FaZe Clan

He emphasized post-victory, addressing the importance of pushing both himself and his team to the limit. He remains clear-eyed about his role and is ready to step back if he's no longer the right captain, but for now, he sees only progress and improvement on the horizon.

The recent win in Chengdu lifts some of the pressure off FaZe, according to karrigan, especially after a series of near-misses where they finished second. With the ESL Pro League Season 19 around the corner in Malta, they're aiming for another shot at the Intel Grand Slam season title.

Karrigan’s eyes are set on IEM Cologne, a tournament he regards as one of the year's most pivotal, alongside the Shanghai Major. With ambitions to become a two-time Grand Slam winner, it's clear karrigan is far from hanging up his mouse and keyboard. His tenacity and enduring competitive spirit continue to drive him and FaZe Clan towards more esports glory.
