Liquid, paiN to PGL Major Stockholm 2021

First group at the tournament.

IEM Fall North America, final RMR event for the region with five qualifying spots at PGL Major Stockholm, started with the very important bo1 group play. Group A featured the likes of EXTREMUM and Team Liquid, leading the pack in RMR points, Extra Salt, paiN Gaming and Bad News Bears, seeking to spoil the party and ATK, a heavy underdog, who have qualified to the event through the open qualifiers.

Team Liquid proved that they are still the best team in North America, as they have swept through the group and booked themselves a spot in Stockholm. ATK, unfortunately, could not post a map win and finished last, while other four squads battled in nearly every game between each other. In the end, it was paiN Gaming, who finished second, qualifying for PGL Major Stockholm, while EXTREMUM placed third, where they are going to clash with the third place from group B for another chance to make it to Sweden.

TL, paiN and EXTREMUM will be in the playoffs, as all three are still waiting for their opponents from group B.
