Astralis, Liquid, VP, FaZe on the brink in Sweden

The Legends stage at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 continued with more best of one sets, as eight more teams looked to improve their standings in the process.

Back and forth on Ancient, Copenhagen Flames managed to accrue a three round lead on their offence before promptly shutting FaZe Clan out on the defence for a “16-6” victory.

Joining them in the “2-1” bracket will be Gambit Esports, who managed to survive a grueling match against another CIS team, Virtus.pro. Winning both halves “8-7” on Vertigo was enough for a “16-14” victory, while “Hobbit” posted 39 frags in the process in the regulation, tying the Major record.

In the battle of the North American RMR squads, FURIA Esports managed to take down Team Liquid on Inferno, “16-9”, while the Danish derby went the way of Heroic, who stormed Astralis on Ancient, winning the game “16-7” to get their second dub of the stage.

With only the best of three sets being scheduled until the end of the Major, the greatest matches of the tournament are still ahead of us.
