Media: Liquid may sign Patsi and Rainwaker, changing their region to Europe

American organization Liquid is reportedly interested in signing players from Spirit and 500, potentially replacing Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. According to Dust2.us, there have been no signed contracts with Patsi and Rainwaker yet, and EliGE's departure is not guaranteed.

If both transfers happen, Liquid will have to relocate to Europe due to tournament rules, where the competition is significantly higher compared to America.

YEKINDAR has already confirmed on Twitter that the leaks are partially true and that he will remain as the captain in the future revamped lineup.

Potential Liquid lineup

  • NAF
  • oSee
  • YEKINDAR
  • Patsi
  • Rainwaker

Potential consequences of the roster changes

Liquid leaving the North American region will be another blow to the local CS:GO scene, as one of the top organizations struggles to find talented players in their home region. The remaining alternatives for players from the USA and Canada are not very promising - either join EG, whose management sometimes makes questionable reshuffles, or join teams like Nouns, which are not Tier-1 contenders with their current core.

As for EliGE, NAVI could consider signing him - the legendary rifler could be a worthy replacement for Denis "electroNic" Sharipov if the Russians were to leave the Ukrainian organization. Regardless, we will learn the fate of Liquid and NAVI rosters by June 22, as that is the registration deadline for the upcoming major tournament, BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023.
