mezii becomes the best player of the group stage of BLAST Premier: World Final 2023

The group stage of the BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 has come to an end, the playoff bracket is set, and two teams have already left the championship. It's worth reminding which players stood out during this past stage.

Three out of the top five players currently belong to Vitality. The team confidently navigated through Group A, earning a spot directly in the event's semifinals. Notably, Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut outperformed his teammate William "mezii" Merriman. The Brit reached a 7.0 rating – a solid argument in favor of his successful integration into the team, having a good chance to win the second event in a row.

The presence of 17-year-old Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo is also pleasing – the young rifler scored 6.7 rating points, but the main question remains whether he can stand against Cloud9 in the quarterfinals with their serious firepower? We'll see tomorrow, December 15th.

Robin “ropz” Kool from FaZe, who also won their group, closes the top-5. It's not that the other team members played poorly, as even captain karrigan made his first ace since 2021 today. The team might have welcomed newcomer David “frozen” Čerňanský, but the quintet of cyber athletes hasn’t ceased to be a formidable opponent. And the Estonian is the main guarantee that FaZe will remain among the strongest lineups in the near future.
