Monte took first place in ESL Challenger League Season 44 - their third online tournament win in a month

The Ukrainian club Monte defeated 9INE from Poland in a bo5 grand final of ESL Challenger League Season 44, despite the latter having a one-map advantage. Monte also defeated SAW, 1WIN, FORZE, and others on their way to victory.

As a result of the tournament, the team not only earned $20,000 but also qualified for the 18th season of ESL Pro League, which begins on August 30th.

It's worth noting that Monte is currently in very good form - prior to ECL S44, they also won CCT West Europe Series 2 and European Pro League Season 6. These victories could give them confidence heading into the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR B, where the team will be fighting to qualify for the major.

A big challenge for Monte will be not only playing against tier-1 teams but also how well the players can perform in LAN environments compared to online. Nevertheless, their first match in the RMR will be on April 11th against ENCE at 14:00.
