This development has resonated deeply within the Ukrainian community and beyond, prompting a vocal response from both fans and key esports figures.
Ivan Shevtsov, better known as Johnta, the esports coach for FENNEL team(VALORANT), took to social media to elucidate the situation, emphasizing the impact of the ongoing conflict.
"Because of Russian aggression on Ukraine, we have martial law, so it's hard for Ukrainians to get permission to leave the country. While Russians, who represent aggressors, can easily travel and take part in events. This is a reality we live in. An unfair reality where a victim suffers even more and the aggressor is not punished"he expressed, voicing a stark reality.
The sentiments of frustration and the aspiration to return to top-tier tournaments were echoed by Denys 'dance' Yashniev — Director of Monte Esports.

"The most rooted Ukrainian esports team couldn't cross the Ukrainian border to attend the top tournament. The guys always deliver the right messages; it would have had a special significance in China."
