Movistar Riders has replaced dav1g with adamS

The Spanish esports organization Movistar Riders announced the signing of Adam "adamS" Mariano. The announcement was made on the club's social media networks.

Who did adamS replace in Movistar Riders?

In the Movistar Riders lineup, adamS replaced David "dav1g" Granado Bermudo, who has represented the team since August 2021. dav1g was part of the first Spanish squad to make it to a major, and the first to win an international LAN - ESL Challenger Valencia 2022. Alongside him, Movistar Riders also took 3rd-4th place at IEM Cologne 2022 and added a second international trophy to their count at ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023.

However, recently, dav1g's individual form has deteriorated significantly. At a time when Movistar Riders are looking for more firepower, it's the young adamS who got his chance. dav1g has been moved to the bench.

Why adamS specifically?

adamS's contract with Nexus expired very recently. The Romanian player, who lives in Spain and speaks Spanish, has long been a favorite of Movistar Riders fans, and they are pleased to see their club has signed a player with a 5700 ELO rating on FACEIT.

adamS made a name for himself at the local level in the Iberian Family roster, in which he played before three of his then teammates, Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia, Raul "DeathZz" Jordan Nieto, and dav1g signed contracts with Movistar Riders.

In this offseason, adamS was also targeted by Entropiq. He was even on trial there, but in the end decided to join the top team in Spain.
