Cloud9 captain Vladislav nafany Gorshkov spoke about his expectations from the Legends stage of the Major and talked about the unfriendly attitude of Brazilian fans towards his team.
It struck me that the crowd hated us. Even after the match, I heard a lot of people yelling, "Go to hell, sh1ro." And they screamed the same when we played with Imperial. It's weird for me because we're a team that looks like the younger SK and Luminosity, maybe. However, many of us come from the bottom and are at the top, so in my opinion, the Brazilians should shout: "Go!".
Yes [we beat Imperial], but why do we continue to be treated like this? GamerLegion is not a Brazilian team but a European one. Not all were against us, but many, so it came as a surprise to me. But I can understand it. We beat one of the most legendary teams. FalleN is a legend. Obviously, some fans will hate us.
[On expectations from the Legends stage after the problematic path to Challengers]
Actually, I don't have any expectations at the moment. I'm pretty sure, as always, that we will play against FaZe [Note: nafany didn't actually know at the time that Cloud9 would play FaZe in the first round of the Legends Stage, based on the final seed], Liquid, and no one new. All year long, we don't play against NAVI. We played with them about 20 times last year and 0 times this year. So we will have some new opponents. I'm really tired of playing against FaZe and Liquid. Please give us someone else.
If one team has beaten the other many times, it's better for the losing team. This is more about Liquid. Maybe it will be difficult for them to play against us for now. But if we talk about FaZe, then we have already beaten them twice, so maybe now this is a big problem for us. Let's see how it goes.Vladislav nafany Gorshkov
