NAVI move past Vitality, to face Gambit for the Major finals spot

Setting up the stage.

The fourth quarterfinal of the event.

With Heroic, G2 Esports and Gambit Esports advancing to the final four, it was time for the number one team in the world, Natus Vincere and their archrivals from Team Vitality to take the stage in hopes of becoming the fourth team in the semifinals at PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

Starting on Dust2, the Frenchmen looked in control, as they switched to the defence with a one round lead. The CIS team, however, broke out with a rampaging offence, winning eight in a row to hit match points and ultimately closing it out with a “2v4” turnaround, “16-11”. Switching to Nuke, the map where NAVI had stopped losing long ago, Team Vitality still obtained a three round lead after their defensive half. Natus Vincere equalized the score and despite the French unit getting ahead again, “13-10”, it was all about the biggest favourites of the tournament in the closing stages of the map, “16-13”, “2-0”.

Setting up the CIS derby in the semifinals, either Natus Vincere or Gambit Esports will become the fifth team from the region in the sixteen Major finals, while Heroic and G2 Esports are going to take the stage before them to find out who is going to debut in the finals first.
