NIP refused to sell Brollan to fnatic

Fnatic, before introducing the roster of their new Counter-Strike 2 team, attempted to buy out Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin from Ninjas In Pyjamas but were faced with a high buyout price.

Many fans of the organization were expecting fnatic to return to a Swedish roster and were disappointed after the recent announcement. Sam Mathews, the founder and CEO of fnatic, expressed in a team website chat that the club does not plan to return to the concept of a national lineup. He noted that there was interest in Brollan, but the player's buyout price was "very, very high."

Bjorn "THREAT" Pers, the general manager of NIP, confirmed that he received offers from fnatic regarding Brollan, but mentioned that NIP received several other interesting offers. He added that despite fnatic's interest, no negotiations regarding Brollan took place.

Brollan moved to NIP from fnatic in March 2022 after spending more than three years with the British organization. With fnatic, he won ESL Pro League Season 11: Europe, DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019, and PLG Grand Slam 2018.
